Susan Peowrie BSc (Hons) is a Psychologist, having graduated with first-class honours in 2000. She is qualified in Hypnotherapy, Mind Coaching, EMDR, CBT, NLP, Counselling, Stress Management, and Meditation and Mindfulness.
Susan is also qualified in Somatics, a movement therapy which helps to release emotional blockages which cannot be shifted using traditional therapies. She teaches Qi Gong and dance, including belly dance which focuses on keeping women’s bodies healthy at all ages.
During her corporate career, Susan specialised in helping people cope with the stresses and anxieties of the modern workplace. She provided career coaching and advice, helping people find motivation and a more positive mindset. Susan ran workshops which helped people work harmoniously together in teams. She also provided advice on how to make big changes in the workplace – causing the least possible stress and anxiety for employees while providing them with all the information they needed.
In 2009, Susan suffered severe health issues, which caused her to step away from the corporate world. She was then free to concentrate on helping individuals one-to-one with their mental health issues – particularly stress, anxiety and low self-esteem. Since then, she has also become qualified to help people with trauma and PTSD, fears and phobias, weight loss, smoking cessation and many other issues which can be solved through one to one hypnotherapy and counselling.
Susan learned how to create bespoke audio recordings for individuals to listen to at home, allowing them to continue their recovery in their own time. Initially, these audios were just based on traditional hypnotherapy or psychology, but over the years, Susan has expanded her expertise to include mindfulness, meditation, deep relaxation, affirmations and journeys, or stories just for fun or to fall asleep to. She has also created a wide range of training courses.
In 2018/2019, Susan suffered a series of personal tragedies, leading her to seek therapy herself. This introduced her to the world of modern Hypnotherapy. Susan was so impressed with the results she achieved using these new techniques, she quickly included them in her own work.
Alongside her academic studies, Susan has also explored more esoteric subjects, such as Shamanism, Reiki and various other holistic and spiritual practices. Where appropriate, she includes these in her work to provide a deeper and more well-rounded approach to healing the mind, body and spirit and keeping them healthy.
Susan has dedicated her life to helping people with their mental health issues. It is her sincere hope that she can help you too.
